J’TAIME HOME WELLNESS · CREDENTIALS & GROWTH

What every label honestly means

A therapist here is described by evidence, not by vibes: what was checked, by whom, and what that permits us to say in public. This page is the whole vocabulary — for applicants, for clients, and for anyone comparing us to shops that say “certified” without saying by whom.

The labels, and what each may claim

LabelWhat it meansWhat may be said publicly
Employer-trainedLearned the craft working under a previous establishment.May be said publicly, framed exactly so — it is a history, not a certificate.
Owner-vouchedThe J’Taime owner assessed skills in person and recorded the five admission checks under her own name.May be said publicly. The storefront adds, in words: "no document sighted by GECAN".
Screened J’Taime TherapistIdentity sighted, policies accepted, basic screening recorded.May be said publicly once the roster checks say so.
TESDA NC II — uploadedThe therapist lodged a certificate that nobody has reviewed yet.Only "uploaded, pending review". Never "TESDA certified" until sighted.
TESDA NC II — verifiedThe document was sighted and the sighting is ledgered with who and when.May be claimed in full.
DOH / COR — uploadedProof lodged, review pending.Only "uploaded, pending review".
DOH / COR — verifiedSighted and ledgered.May be claimed in full.
Trainer CandidateBeing evaluated to train others. A candidacy, conferred by the owner.May be said as "candidate" — never as an appointed trainer.
Academy FacilitatorApproved to facilitate a named class, with the qualification evidence behind it.Only after approval, per class — the Academy stays locked otherwise.

The rule under all of it: an uploaded document is “uploaded, pending review” — never “verified” — until a named person has actually looked, and the looking is ledgered.

Plain answers

Can an experienced therapist work before TESDA/DOH certification?

On J’Taime, yes — as an owner-vouched therapist: the owner assesses skills in person and records five admission checks under her own name, and the storefront says plainly that no document has been sighted by GECAN. Certification is the ladder up, not the door in.

What does "owner-vouched" mean, exactly?

Jessa checked identity, credential history, skills, a reference and a trial visit herself, and the record names her. It is a real vouching by a named person — and it is never displayed as GECAN verification.

What does "GECAN-sighted" add?

A second, independent pair of eyes on the actual documents, ledgered with who looked and when. Offers from a GECAN-sighted therapist carry that label; owner-vouched offers carry theirs. The label always travels with the offer.

Why do some services stay locked no matter how good someone is?

Pregnancy-adjacent, elderly-specific and specialist sessions are gated on specific evidence, not on general skill. That is a safety rule, and no amount of talent unlocks it — only the named evidence does.

Is any of this medical treatment?

No. Everything here is wellness guidance and professional massage — never diagnosis, never treatment, never a cure claim. When the honest answer is "see a doctor", that is the answer.

How does a therapist move up?

The ladder on this page: each rung names its requirement and what it unlocks. Documents can be uploaded when ready — "upload later" is a real option, and the label honestly says "pending review" until someone has actually looked.

Ready to start on the first rung? Apply to J’Taime — no recruitment fee, documents can come later, strictly professional wellness only.
