What a GECAN visit guarantees
You most likely reached this page from a printed card. It sets out exactly what this platform holds a business to — and, where GECAN has not checked something itself, it says so instead of implying otherwise.
WHO COMES TO YOUR DOOR
Nobody is admitted on a handshake
A professional joins a roster only when five checks are recorded against them: identity sighted, credential recorded, skills assessed, reference taken, and a trial visit completed.
How it is enforcedEach check is one immutable row naming who recorded it and when. Rows are never edited — a correction appends.
You are told what a tick rests on
An admission check is recorded either because a document was sighted and held, or because the business owner put their own name to it. Both are real. They are not the same thing, and the page always says which.
How it is enforcedEvery business page states the basis beside the checks. Where it says the owner's word — GECAN has not seen the underlying document.
A verification is never inferred
A government ID, a DOH licence, a TESDA certificate and a background screening are tracked separately from admission, and none of them can be set by an owner converting a profile or approving a roster.
How it is enforcedThey are separate fields with their own evidence requirements, and the conversion path is explicitly forbidden from touching them.
THE VISIT ITSELF
The price you configure is the price you pay
Every amount is computed by GECAN’s server from the published version of the service — never by the page in front of you, and never by the provider after the fact.
How it is enforcedPublishing mints a frozen, immutable snapshot. A quote is held against that exact snapshot, so terms cannot move underneath you.
Travel and add-ons are shown before you confirm
Anything that changes the total — a travel zone, an add-on, an extra guest — appears as its own line with its own amount before you accept.
How it is enforcedThe price breakdown is itemised component by component, and the platform share is taken out of the price rather than added on top.
Every stage of a visit is recorded
Requested, accepted, arrived, completed, settled. A visit advances only when the responsible party records that it did.
How it is enforcedEach transition is written as an event. A stage cannot be skipped to reach the one after it.
Ratings are earned, never declared
A rating or review can only exist against a visit that actually settled. A business cannot write its own, and a profile with no history says so plainly rather than showing an empty five stars.
How it is enforcedReviews are keyed to settled visits. There is no path that creates one without one.
MONEY AND PRIVACY
GECAN moves no money
Nothing is charged, held or processed on this platform. You settle directly with the business, in whatever way the two of you agree.
How it is enforcedNo payment rail is connected. An invoice on GECAN is a record of what was agreed, not an instruction to pay anyone.
Your contact details stay yours
A business sees what it needs to serve you and nothing more, until you choose to share more.
How it is enforcedContact details are released on your action, and the release is recorded.
What GECAN does not claim
- GECAN is not a licensing body. It records credentials; it does not issue or validate them.
- A wellness service is not medical treatment, diagnosis or physiotherapy.
- Where a business has vouched for its own roster under the owner’s name, no document has been sighted by GECAN — the business page says so on the professional’s card.
- GECAN holds no funds and processes no payment.
